>>People who short AMZN and YHOO now are truly idiots. <<
Well, at least I'm only an idiot at >137, and am still sane re YHOO (no position)--but will probably enter the ranks of the insane if there's another pre-earnings/split YHOO run-up tomorrow.
YHOO, however, I view as a very short-term trade because I don't know how to value it--(who knows? perhaps it's really worth 200+ for someone to control it). I am confident, however, that AMZN is not worth $7B to anyone except momentum investors--who may very well run it further; but I am certainly willing to risk that it won't be too far for me to handle--and that the current price represents a good risk/reward ratio for shorts.

BTW, I suspect the current run-up will be over at the latest by Thurs. a.m.--hopefully followed by a not-so-minor retracement.

Good luck, Monty

>> People who short AMZN and YHOO now are truly idiots.
I absolutely agree that AMZN and YHOO will have to come down but people must be patient. <<

So people who are patiently shorting YHOO and AMZN are true idiots?

>> Both AMZN and YHOO are about to annouce earning in a few days and you can bet on a 3 for 1 or 2 for 1 stock split for both AMZN and YHOO to come at the time of earning annoucement. Shorting before stock split annoucement is like asking for a shot in head! <<

Oh, you mean like shorting IOM, NSCP, ZOLT, etc before their split announcements. Yeah, I guess the shorts didn't make any money in those. People that think a stock split automatically guarantees higher prices are truly idiots.

>> Be patient! After earning annoucement and stock split, you can short the stocks at much much higher prices and enjoy a bigger fall to come. <<

So I take it you are long YHOO and AMZN now? And you will be selling after they announce their splits? Keep us informed.
