William--please remove the bug from your butt and sit down. Everyone here is very loose with their language and there is an implicit assumption that predictions about stock movements are opinions. The Microsoft forum alone gets several predictions every week. If you want to start checking licenses here, you're going to be a very very busy boy.

OK William, read my posting carefully one more time (here it is below)...

"I dont like handing out investor strategies because different people with different
risks/objectives will play the market different ways. All I will say is that the MSFT stock
is likely not going to go much higher than this. You might see a spike on earnings release
day because MSFT has always been good at making promotion plays to make earnings
look good. But after the earnings date this stock will start a long slow slide (with
ocassional spikes here and there). With the DOJ case starting in Sep. and the results of
WIN98 showing less than expected sales, the triggers will begin to take hold.

I would say the stock will again enter the double digits by late summer or early fall and
enter back into the 80s.

How you handle this prediction is your decision. You sound like me regarding trading
strategy. I do not Short stocks either. I would rather speculate / day-trade. For
example, if I did buy MSFT 2-3 weeks ago in the 80s I would being realizing my gain
now or the day of the Earnings announcement.

Just what I would do. But if you feel MSFT will continue its stock climb for the next 1-2
years then this would not be a good play."

Take note on a couple sentences I made "Just what I would do. But if you feel MSFT will continue its stock climb for the next 1-2 years then this would not be a good play." AND "How you handle this prediction is your decision.". Not to mention my first sentence.

If this posting were not clearly providing predictions of future stock action then we all are in deep shit!! Matter of Fact, most of the analyst on CNBC would be in court for their statements.

Lets be honest now William, you are connected to MSFT or are a MSFT Fan and this was a poor attempt at intimidating me. Sorry, I've been on the internet too long to be threatened!

Threaten someone that doesnt know better.

Cheers William!

Toy

Bill -
Come on, this is not the Wall Street Journal. Pick any thread on this forum and you can see posts like

'SELL THIS BABY NOW~!!! LOOK OUT BELOW, 20's BY Mid-WEEK!!!' or the bull alternative 'We'll see this puppy hit 100 by end of the month, time to back up the truck!!' and other enthusiasm. Do you really think this kind of posting is likely to sway a rational investor?

You must be very naive if you think that Toy's post would attract legal attention. A 10 year old could generate a defense against the kind of lawsuit you suggest, assuming there was a judge anywhere who would let it get to court.
