You know, I could sell a lot of my stocks and have write-offs for the next ten years. Ammo and I are home alone. We rented Deconstructing Harry and he wants food. (Ammo, not Harry) Unfortunately, there is none. In the pantry I find--Instant Grits, Alaskan Smoked Salmon, Goobers (a strange mixture of peanut butter and jelly all in one) and some stale coconut. So how creative dare I be? Do you have to be any good to be considered a writer by profession? Of course not. In fact, the worse you are the better. And if you're not published, it just means you're too deep and obscure for the general public. And if you publish a couple of columns and articles, then you are just a commercial hack catering to the low tastes of the masses, but if you got paid ANYTHING at all, you're a real writer. Like me. Ain't it great?
