First Post:

Once upon a time, Norblanda Exploration explored the Lac Da Gras and Mckay Lake Areas.

After completing 27 holes in the Mckay Lake area, and upon hitting a little mineralization, the drillers were told to pack up, it was time to head to James River. The drillers worked away dismantling the rig wondering about the logic of their masters. After 15 nets, only two drums of JP4 and two drillers were left at the last site. The helicopter pilot said he would be awhile as he wanted to get some lunch.

So the drillers lay down and ate some sardines. Soon both had dozed off, only to be awakened by a Chi Chi, munching on the remaining sardines. Startled by the driller's movements, the Chi Chi scurried away, leaving the sun to shine on a sparkly object just behind the sardine can.

One driller stood up and said hey looka there! Could that be a diamond? It sure looked like it. Before the other driller could come over to see, there it came. A Barren Land Grizly on its heels in attack mode not 15 feet away.

The metis indian driller rushed to the JP4 (jet fuel) and spilled three large splashes on the ground. Pulled out his lighter and said, get ready to run and hit the dirt. Heartbeats in their throat, the drillers were delighted to see the helicopter buzz the drill site and scare the bear away.

Back at camp, one of the drillers told the bear story, the other asked senior Norblanda geologists about the possibilities of diamonds in the McKay Lake Area and the fact that he thought he found one. The Senior Geologists said not at chance, and looked at the driller with that educated gaze. The driller argued that they should go back, but Senior management said we must push on to James River.

Well, i guess Norblanda should not cry about a few overlooked fancies, it was there for them, just a few diamonds under the bridge.

It is my understanding that they still may have these old claims, maybe they will go back to the the 27th hole, and find what was found ten years before the Diamet Discovery.

This was a true story.
