Ramsey,

What is the latest CDMA count in US, anyone?

Are we gaining ground or losing to Nextel?

I can't believe how much Nextel has done with so little (as far as technology goes), compared to the entire CDMA camp. CDMA has more subscribers in the US (I think 3+ million was the latest count). Nextel claims almost 1.5 million of the 2 million use their digital service. Nextel is adding around 300,000 new subscriber per quarter.

I don't understand why the CDMA camp is completely ignoring the business market and why are they placing all their eggs in the consumer market.

Granted, a mobile phone is a universal tool, that can add something to everyone, and it is going to impress any teenager, but if all you have is a dumb phone, it will be harder and harder to impress a business customer.

Joe

Ramsey, aha! Thought you had me, eh? Well the ol' Surfer's up to the task dude. Check out: Investor's Business Daily, Monday July 6, edition, page 31 if memory serves. (the dog, no not that one, ate my copy). I was going to post the damn thing but I had a little hitch in my giddy-up: research project due at M.I.T. on my quantum wave forms thesis, also known as, "6 Steps to Making A Cell Phone Call The Surfer Mike Way". Anyway, you know how skitzy I get with the hyperlink thing but surf to IBD's site at:

You owe me big time. SM
