David W., you said...

>>I can see why you're a recovering accountant, because you're clueless.

Actually, the reason I'm a recovering accountant is because I found it to be boring. Not enough of a challenge.

>> Net revenues, (when used, which is not often), does not refer to contribution margin.

Net revenues DOES refer to contribution margin! (Remember, I'm a former accountant! This is like taking candy from a baby!) Follow me here, I'll type slowly...

(1) Net Revenues = Gross Profit (Total sales- cost of goods sold)
(2) kcilink.com Contribution Margin = ...amount of gross profit from each sale that contributes towards covering fixed costs and profits. The contribution margin is equal to revenue less variable costs (cost of goods sold for a company whose "core marketing strategy is to develop 'recurring electronic revenue streams'.")...

So you see, my fine-feathered friend, gross profit can (and in this case, does) refer to contribution margin.

>> Never has and never will.

Wrong-o, reindeer breath!

>> It could refer to revenues, less discounts and other extraneous costs. It under no circumstances takes into account SG&A etc.

No offense, but your ignorance is showing through!!! Who said Net revenues had anything to do with SG&A? Read my lips, I said CONTRIBUTION MARGIN!! i.e., that which contributes to the profit margin!

>> I am not moronic accountant like some...

Ouch! Now that really hurt! Oh, I forgot...I'm no longer an accountant...never mind!

>>...just paid attention in business school...

Obviously, not enough attention! :-)

>>GLOW in no way explains how it jumps from Net revenues per share to EPS.

GLOW DOESN'T jump from net revenues to EPS!! Re-read the press release!! It says, "(IGC will) contribute $.20 EPS for Global's shareholders." Did you happen to notice that little word beginning with a 'c' and ending with 'ontribute'?

According to webster...
conútribúute -
1 a : to give a part to a common fund or store

If you need me to explain it to you, I'd be more than happy to!

>> Do any of you really care or is blowing through megaphone making you dizzy.

Actually, listening to the megaphone is making me dizzy!

T.G.W., you said...

>>Big red man if ignorance is bliss you must be the happiest man on the internet.

I will be when my patience with GLOW pays off!!

>>Where did you learn about investing...

self taught.

>>.., "two cents worth" is right.

Ouch! That hurt! Wait a minute! That's about what I paid for GLOW! Never mind!

>> Your post has so many errors of reasoning that it is not even worthwhile to attempt to refute it.

I don't blame you! I wouldn't want you to hurt yourself! :-)

>>You have to remember that there are always at least two sides to every trade, longs and shorts and their purposes are diametrically opposed.

There maybe two sides to a trade, but not necessarily two sides to a holding.

>> One hopes the stock will go up and the other down.

A person selling a stock (unless he's shorting or planning on getting back in) doesn't care what happens to the price after he sells it!! In fact, excepting shorters, EVERYONE wins with a bullish stock (some more than others)!

Seriously, T.G.W. Can't you add anything worth discussing to this thread? Gee...way to go out on a limb and dismiss my post without even discussing it.

BTW, since you questioned my abilities and knowledge...I was an accountant for about 15 years...8 years for a multibillion-dollar financial holding company. I was responsible for preparing the 10-Ks and 10-Qs for 10 publicly traded companies. I got bored and moved over to the technical side of things. I presently manage a portfolio of investments worth several hundred thousand dollars. 5 years ago it was worth zip. (I know it's not as impressive as what you've done :-), that's not the point).

Anyway, good luck on your other investments.

BTW, Just curious... You've posted 80 times on SI in the last 25 days. 78 times were to bash GLOW. I have a significant investment in GLOW and I wouldn't post an average of over 3 times a day over the course of a month. What exactly is your purpose...and why GLOW? Why not any of the literally hundreds of other BB rip-offs out there? I mean...not even ONE post?

...just....wondering...

...later...

PS, for those keeping score, MMPro has posted 80 times on SI over the past 16 days. 68 posts were negative to GLOW.
