Not to speak for David James, but I do believe he represents the company...

The statement that bothers me most from todays press release is:

<<Because of the operating problems experienced this quarter and the need to review all division's profitability, American Eco is
unable to forecast earnings for the remainder of the year. American Eco is a leading North American provider of single-source
industrial support and specialty fabrication services in the energy, pulp & paper, and power generating industries.
>>

Hey, David James, did they give you any guidance ?

I called the PR group to listen to the call. And yes, they did say it would be recorded so I assume that means you can listen to the call in the morning. They should know the number for any recording.

This is the PR group

Several people at the call asked about the forcast for the year and didn't get a specific answer. They did say that they would be using the percentage of completion method for these big contracts and that they were optimistic for the latter half of the year. However, they were sounding like they were surprised how slow May was for a couple of subs, and so now they wanted to spend some time getting all the subs straightened out before they would release a forcast. They said that have decided that they would be making no new acquisitions and would be devoting their efforts to the existing businesses. Although it sounds like the Pictou acquisition is almost complete.

They also said that they would be having meetings more often with all the subs so that central management will have a better idea about earnings before the end of the quarter.

The will obviously have some good revenues in the last half of the year, and a lot of those revs will be in the highest margins areas with their specialty fabrication. It just sounds like they get surprised every quarter by some new unexpected loss, so they decided not to make predictions just to be safe.

Obviously selling this stock would have been a good idea at most times in the last few months. Whether it will be a good day to sell tomorrow - when the price is below book, I can't say.

As far as representing the company, I wouldn't mind so much if I got paid. Right now, I fell I am paying them.
