Nope.

The truly hard-core shorts are most probably still hanging on. EGGS was a momentum play today; the run-up wasn't a short-covering movement. I watch a Level II screen all day, and EGGS just ticked right along on the upside. There really wasn't any of the mad-rush buying one sees when a short squeeze occurs.

Tomorrow will be telling. If the market now perceives EGGS to be a viable "Internet stock," and EGGS is up a couple of points at the open (and continues strong early on), then you might see some panic buying (ie, short-covering).

Again, though (believe it or not), it didn't really happen today.
