Ginger: I had worked in Retail for a while also, and I have some great "return-the product" stories that I could tell. Some people are really funny, the stuff they pull. One person called on the phone, and said the TV they just bought was no good, the company that made it was no good, the store that sold it, was no good, and the salesperson who was involved in the transaction cheated them. I asked the person to try and plug it in a different socket, (maybe the first one was "dead".) There was silence for a few seconds, and the response was "Plug it in?" Now I ask the public, "Does anybody really think that people like that should really be allowed to have money"? (true story)
