>>At Sony, Aoki served most recently in a dual role as general manager, optical disk strategy division and general manager, strategic business planning. His responsibilities included leading the optical disk business strategy in consumer and computer applications, overall program management of Sony's HiFD (200MB floppy disk) device, high-end tape streamer and optical disk business, and directing strategic alliances with major computer manufacturers.<<

I found this to be extremely interesting. A man who was responsible for developing the HiFD drive has left Sony to join Iomega. Hmmmm.

I'd be interested in hearing Chris Smith's view on this. He might even know Aokisan. Chris? Are you still around?
