Martin, An update to my last post to you concerning MDIN. The following is a response I received when I posed the question of what I could tell potential, and now, investors, about the reasons to take a position in MDIN. **************** To: DR. MEADE (2450 ) From: WHL Wednesday, May 6 1998 3:18PM ET Reply # of 3993 1. TA shows strength and support are increasing- first in $.20's, then $.30's, now $.40's. 2. Two major acquistions complete- $34MM worth of properties-now moving to partner/production stage on these properties, while continuing to scout for futher aquisitions 3. Small free-trading float (according to transfer agent, restricted share count & company insider holdings- as represented by management) 4. Short squeeze appears likely with any significant advance in price. Belief in short position based upon company statements and trading history. 5. Acquistion by or partnership with major possible in near term(juniors are often acquired during periods of low gold prices- MDIN management has stated that it would prefer a partnership arrangement) 6. Worldwide gold market appears to have turned the corner 7. Strong management team IMO- including alliances with very knowledgeable mining sources inside Chile 8. Many investors are involved at much higher levels and will not sell before recouping their original investment 9. Catan vein is a bonanza vein with multiple glory holes anticipated Cost of production will be low and returns will be available to finance company expansion (and to service existing obligations) 10. MDIN's track record in court will hopefully be as good as NPEC's. (1 win, 0 losses, 1 undecided). 11. Dayton needs MDIN properties near Dayton's property to lower its costs of production (currently at $250/oz and hurting profitability). 12. Two placer properties (Carin & Ponenge) in Chile have indicated reserves of 170 million cu. meters at 1.5 gm/cu. meter. There's an even dozen reasons. I could give you a few more, but it is necessary to RTW (return to work).
