Hello Frank and the gang of cheers. I'm back! They would not let me use my old name but I was LOOGAN last time SI had their free trial. Not much happening since I was last here. Observing of K91 BEGUN yesterday, so all of you that think ACA's recent price decline was due to insiders or leaks, you are fortunately wrong. The core has been processed for some time but observing was delayed so that the almighty god "Wayne" could be in town for the observing process. (no religious slander intended). Don't expect ACA to publish any number such as % of gem qualtiy stones, or, value of the stones per ton. I know that WSP did this on a very small sample size but it is not industry practice. It is also not industry standard to use coloured stones in the valuation of your diamonds (until a very large bulk has been extracted). WSP refuses to comment on whether or not they did this....HMMMM! Yesterday PUG announced that they found another 20+ carat stone in Africa. I think that the market may wake up to this play when cash flows start to arrive for PUG. Initial results appear to be better that predicted for this mine.
I would like to comment on the criticisms of Ashton's reporting of results. There seems to be consensus that Ashton's reporting methods have been inconsistent and confusing. It is also has been suggested that this has been intentionally done to confuse the market or possibly to mask results. This is false. ACA has strictly followed company policy as well as industry standard of the diamond majors in reporting their results. The reason that ACA switches from micro/macro counts to carat per ton counts (while using different mesh sizes) is that the significance of certain stone sizes dramatically changes as that sample size increases. Micro diamonds are of no economical benefit to a mine but it is a useful tool to determine the potential of a pipe at the early stages of exploration. It is not Ashton's job to teach the market how to read or interpret these results. This is the job of your broker, analyst, or Famularo.
8 more days till' results are ready....Let the countdown begin!
