The Iridium Jazz Club. The Iridium is the biggest ripoff in NYC. Examples: Mescan salad- One handful $7 2liter bottle Evian $7.50 tanqueray and tonic $7.95 Penne w/goat cheese, wild shrooms, dried tomatos (portion was 1/3 of $16 a normal portion) I went to the Iridium to see Les Paul last night. Les called in sick so Bucky Pizzarelli filled in. We had to go out for dinner after the show, everyone was still hungry. If anyone wants to see Les have dinner before or after and order two top shelf drinks to meet the minumum. Les is worth the $35($20 cover, $15 min) just call 1st and make sure he's well before you head down. Oh I should say the food is good but the typical portion is 1/3-1/2 of a normal portion. Music charge, dinner, 1 soda, 1/3-1/2 of a normal portion. Music charge, dinner, 1 soda, 1 or 2 mixed drinks, 1 bottle of water and tip came to $180 for 4 adults and a kid and that doesn't include the 2nd dinner we ate after the show.
