I like this part, how true it is..... In the US, MSFDC is promoting* its secure electronic bill presentment and payment (EBPP) product to banks and billers* promoting being the key word.

Wondering if Checkfree will need to start a joint venture in some other countries to start a service similar to what they are doing in the U.S. With the Checkfree technology they should be able to do this in other countries with no financial investment using a local partner that would be strongly connected with the financial institutions in that country and would need Checkfree's product to maintain local market position. If MSFDC plans to grow internationally and begins to succeed, Checkfree will need to do the same to achieve global economic advantage. I believe Pete has said Checkfree will not be expanding outside the U.S., but maybe MSFDC or another competitor will force a change to the plan. I know this may be premature, but we need to think ahead.
