The Zinc acquisition should be very good for the company long-term. But, in the short term, the news will probably just remind the market that MSFT is a potential competitor to WIND. And there will be concern over dilution from the acquisition too.

The WIND link below gives a good overview of the Zinc product. One line which caught my eye was:

"Any user interface object may easily be customized to deliver a unique appearance and feel or can emulate any popular desktop style"
