Any fool that thinks book value is the true value of a company is totally worthless as an investor. Ever hear of "earnings"? The only companies that trade at book value are the ones going to the bottom of the sea.

Quit your foolish front-running, and get outa' here...

We don't need your OFF TOPIC posts around this thread.

Robin, Both YHOO and DELL have a book value of ~$2.50 and are trading at ~40X and ~80X that respectively. Are you people crazy?

Book value is meaningless. It's yesterday's news! It's based on historical costs and earnings and isn't even indicative of what it would cost to duplicate the business. The only thing that counts is the present value of future cash flows. Clearly, investors believe that those cash flows will be substantial for both DELL and YHOO.

Craziness is investing on the basis of book value. Craziness is investing on the basis chart patterns. Craziness is momentum investing.

But investing based on the basis of finding a company with a sound business plan and proven execution over several years is sane. That's why I invest in Dell.

Right, Robin, DELL's worth $2.50

Michael's brain = $9 as sausage

A Stradivari = $5.95 for the wood

The Mona Lisa = 3 bucks for the canvas

All banknotes have equal value, based on the paper and ink
