ENERGY TRUSTS / Gas Management Income Fund Financial Results GAS MANAGEMENT INCOME FUND REPORTS FIRST QUARTER 1998 FINANCIAL RESULTS TSE Symbol: GIF.UN TORONTO, July 7 /CNW/ - Gas Management Income Fund (''the Fund'') today announced it has filed in each of the provinces of Canada a final prospectus qualifying 1,785,000 units of the Fund to be issued upon the exercise of an equal number of special warrants of the Fund. The special warrants were sold by way of private placement on April 14, 1998 by CIBC Wood Gundy Securities Inc. and First Marathon Securities Limited at a price of $10.90 each. Holders may convert the warrants into units of the Fund on a one-for-one basis at any time up until the fifth business day following the issue of receipts by the securities commission in each Canadian province. Immediately prior to expiry, any unexercised warrants will be automatically exercised by Montreal Trust Company acting as the warrant trustee. The Fund has already received a receipt for the final prospectus from the Ontario Securities Commission. Gas Management Income Fund is an open-ended, single purpose trust established under the laws of Ontario which was created to hold common shares, preferred shares and unsecured notes of Alliance Gas Management Inc. Established in 1991, Alliance Gas provides approximately 500,000 Canadian residential customer equivalents with access to savings and stable price natural gas contracts. Gas Management Income Fund units are traded on The Toronto Stock Exchange under the symbol GIF.UN. The Fund is eligible for RRSPs, RRIFs and DPSPs.
