Wasn't the information thread set up to inform people, and this one was just to socialize? It says at the very top, not to expect information here. The problem is that this has become the de-facto place to come and get the latest juicy rumour, which half the time turns out to be wrong, or to not happen when expected if at all.

So maybe we should have three threads: information, socializing, and juicy rumors to be acted upon at your own risk :-)
