You are 100% correct.

However, AMD happens to be making NO 0.18 micron Kanythings.

And that's also how many they are selling.

I see you've be bashed about AMD and .18...
To correct you. AMD makes no .18 K6s. The 266s and 300s are on .25 and the 233s and under are .35. They have stopped producing .35 wafers...and discontinued the 233. Yields on K6s are slightly better than on K6-2s right now.
Yes, they can sell all the .25u chips they can make. The trouble is the yield and therefore the die cost. This has greatly improved of late but is only "good" not excellent.
