I talked to Christi Mottola at Coffin Communications today. They have prepared a four page profile on American BioMed. It was sent to me tonight in the form of an attachment to an e mail. Unfortunately I could not open it. Tomorrow I will get a copy posted here and over at Silicon Investor.

American BioMed has been actively searching for a strategic partner for years. Perhaps that is one of the reasons why the stock still sells for .56. Some people have lost faith. Remember this corporate profile written in 1996?

americanbiomed.com

There was lots of discussion in there about acquisitions in the minimally invasive surgical field. How about the failed buyout of American BioMed by USS back in 1995?

Listen American BioMed has a terrible past history of disappointing investors. All I can tell you is I have talked to everyone I can think of about this company and I feel really good about the future. Can I guarantee investors that American BioMed will be acquired?

Nope.

Can I guarantee profits in 1999 if they are not acquired this year?

Nope.

What I can guarantee you is that I honestly believe there is real interest in American BioMed in the way of an acquisition or a strategic partnership. Perhaps by more than one company. I don't think a small company like American BioMed is in a position where they can make a press release stating "We are looking to be acquired."

If they did make such a press release and they were never acquired or they were acquired but at a lower price than what most investors would like it sets the company up for lawsuits.

Anyway let me see if I can't get the new profile from Coffin Communications posted tomorrow. We'll see how many questions it answers.

As far as I am concerned Coffin Communications is on the job. I will try, as I always do, to keep investors well informed to the best of my abilities.

Oh for Piranha Cat and other interested investors, Steve told me again today, two weeks and the web site will be done. Sometimes things don't happen as quickly as anyone would like but my due diligence tells me that ABMI shareholders will be glad that either held their shares or added more at these levels.

As always please do your own due diligence. All investors will be better investors if they look long and hard at their investments, make some phone calls and ask some questions.

Regards, Jeff
