Could things just be starting to get interesting here? Today marks the first official announcement of an OEM deal by a storage vendor to use Fibre Channel. If this is akin to the types of deals that usually follow breakthrough announcements, i.e. banking mergers, communications mergers, etc., it should really put some pressure on other vendors to align themselves with some of their own fibre channel solutions. The way I see it, assuming the Ancor switch is up to par technologically speaking, the relationship of Barry McGriff, the former Quantum OEM sales director joining Ancor recently could really make things nice for Ancor seeing as Quantum recently bought out ATL, to put them in direct competition with Storage Tek. This could get very nice for Ancor (of course I'm crossing my fingers) but I should say that today's news greatly improved my mood and outlook for Ancor. Here's wishing for the best.

Good Luck to all,

Roger
