Dave, The free trial overall is a tremendous success, and most of the posts are of high quality. Only 4 threads out of 3000 (active threads) on SI have been restricted from trial members so far. The 4 threads all receive a lot of posts and are the source of 30% of our problems. We certainly aren't classifying newbies as "trash"; just dealing with the reality that there are a few really obnoxious people out there with a lot of energy. This isn't a "complete newbie ban."
