They are losing approx $9 a share (ttm) and have book of $5 (ttm). I am not sure why they would be worth more than book when they have crappy mgmt and awful locations (at least the locations I am familiar with). I am not sure how much cash they have left considering their burn rate- so this company is no great deal, and books- imo- are even less sexy than software. Plus they have had such terrible mgmt for their traditional retail outlets that there is NO WAY I believe they have the savvy to exploit the net. Why would AMZN want Crown, when their own name is obviously worth a lot more money? Isn't the AMZN brand the justification for these outrageous share prices? So my two cents is that sometimes companies that deserve to die, just die.
