You know what makes me comfortable about this investment and not so worried about the competition? This technology is in the embryonic phase not unlike software industry of the 80's where even small companies could develop a product and carve out a piece of the market. If Franklin was just now starting as company or if the industry was already in the consolidation phase, I'd be more concerned.

That said, let's say Gunter is right, the worst happens and we don't become a major player and start to get edged out by more successful competitors who in turn are fighting among themselves for dominance. If Franklin continues to develop NOTHING MORE than a significant market share of LD card customers in their currently announced markets -- which they are accomplishing as we speak -- they will become very attractive to these bigger players as a take over target down the road. They will need to pick off these smaller companies to gain quick market share anywhere they can find it. You don't think these guys will pay -- pick a number -- $10 (HA!) a share for a solid market in S. America, Australia, Bosnia, NZ, the US, Etc?

Unless this company and all of their positive announcements are a total fraud and/or IP turns out to be a bust, I for one am not really worried about this investment in spite of being down more than I'd like at this point.

Regards,
Jim

Here are some numbers I was looking at when I made a comment that we might be loosing ground for the #1 place!. In the table, there are companies with sizable contracts, but since the amounts were not disclosed it was hard to put a finger on them eg: IBM/Seimens etc., and compare and the revenues were left blank.
