Sean,
A couple of additional comments on options:

Say Dell is trading at $95. An $85 call will move almost $1 for $1 move in Dell price, especially close to expiration. An $90 might move $3/4 while a $95 call might move $1/2 and $100 call might move $3/8. With a less volatile stock, the $90 would also move close to $1 and the $95 might move $3/4 or even $7/8.

Also, the farther out the option expiration date, the less gyrations in out-of-the money calls.
