<<I believe Pete and company have their hands full at home for now>>

Brian -- I agree. I'm also guessing that the following factors will nearly or totally eliminate any attempt to clone CKFR-type billpay outside the U.S.:

--Different national check-clearing systems
--Different legal system
--MUCH lower reliance on payment by check in other countries and cultures (remember those national comparisons in the study somebody posted a while back? US was around 85% payment of monthly bills by check, all others well under 50%, as I recall)

I think it would be easier for a U.S. beer distributor to duplicate his distribution system in Japan than it would be for Pete to clone CKFR there.

Canada might be a possibility though, maybe.

Anybody out there familiar with the legal and cultural aspects of check payments in Japan, Germany, France, England, etc.?
