Quinta is working on technology beyond GMR heads. This is a very exciting area and I believe that RDRT is positioning themselves as leaders in this market which may be relevant in 2-3 years, IMO. Also, I believe that Quinta/SEG/RDRT are working with SDLI on this project. SDLI is developing blue and red lasers for use in this program, along with the federal govt. if my info is correct. At any rate, I believe that RDRTs relatively weak execution on the current 2.8 platform will soon be eradicated as evidenced not only by their being first to qualify at Maxtor on the 3.4 program, but more importantly, their R&D efforts on future programs which will lead the industry. Now, we need the sector to turn. the STUD!!
