steve, for anyone who isn't reading this thread I would like to point them that way. Some excellent posters there & todays are very worthwhile. RE: ADSL! What was found there also fits some of the comments Mr. Z. made in the last conf. call. If there is a positive in regards to Ala, the company I work for implemented a 401k plan today that Salomon handles. So I may get to play that one in addition to our regular retirement plan. steve-- i use SSB occasionally, and have found their 'advice' to be pretty bad. look at some of their picks...AMAT, MOT...this does not inspire confidence. last year the broker i used there told me that they thought ETEC would do really well. it actually turned out to be a pretty good pick, but i didnt buy it immediately. in less than a week, it lost 30+% of its value. it did turn around, but i have learned to be very cautious of recommendations from smith barney. good luck to all, trey
