Preston,
I would have made a great straightman in a comedy team. As to the question 'would I not rather know....etc?' Actually, I don't really need to "know", I just want to have a really strong feeling that demand is in control. For the purposes of the stock transactions that I discuss on SI, I have a high tolerance for risk (less now, as I indicated in my previous message), so I don't necessarily need nor want to wait for all of the PnF indicators to be on a "buy" before acting. Basically, I need to balance my need for risk (I'm an adrenaline junkie) with my desire to make money while avoiding doing totally stupid things....calculated risk vs. pure speculation.

Investing in the index funds using PnF might be the way for me to go or I might want to couple my PnF with something else to meet my particular "investment" style.
Best,
Tom
