Actually there were some buyings about 20 mins before the
market closed, then sellings. short coverings and more buying from small investors,

I suspect there were also a lot of people reboxing their short position at close. I know I did.

Those are the easy ones to let go of. An 'investor' who bought at $50 will easily let go even if AMZN were to drop $10 at the open (hey, still > 100% in less than 3 weeks)
