How long do you think in down turn? 1 Q, 1 year, 10 years? Anyone has an opinion for this?

I would guess anywhere from 2-4 quarters. My former employer, a semi-equip company that I believe is fairly representative of the industry, continues to see near-term prospects heading down, not up. However, semi companies are going to be forced to go to 0.18-um and below because of competition, and while they can push it out for a little while, they can't do afford to do it for two or three years. CMP will be a requirement in these new fabs, so when they're built, CMP systems will be sold by somebody.

My opinion, FWIW,

G.P.
