Patrick,

<< Right now, we have the best technology in the world that no one wants >>

and

<< On the other hand, perhaps the technology superiority which we have come to believe in really does not exist, or the superiority does not matter given the initial application of fibre channel switching in the storage area. >>

I believe Roy S., while he admits to being very impressed with the mkii, said it best when he said that ancor and brocade were not that far separated on performance (ie. a better latency or ASIC isn't make or break for an oem decision). At least I believe he meant something like that. Please correct me if I am wrong.

If only Ancor had a little more of what the Spanish call, 'enchufe.' ;-)

With STK finally announcing, it brightens my day a little that FC is at least starting to catch on like many here have thought. I wish Brocade and Vixel were public too (they will be within a year) because Id have my money in all three and Id have a lot more fun watching this whole new industry evolve than I currently am. ;-)

all imho
