Yeah, I agree. The news is almost universally bad, but that's when things start looking interesting -- at least on the buy side. We'll see more bad news, and bad earnings too -- a good chance that the semi-equip issues will go down a good bit further. When I first got into this sector about 2 years ago, AMAT and NVLS had P/E's in the single digits. Could easily happen again, no?

Whether or not they get beaten up even further, we're talking "when", not "if" they turn around, right? I don't think they'll lag the semi manufacturers much, if at all. I've been nibbling the past few weeks, and am waiting for a price break to buy bigger lots. (Let the blood flow!) One thing is sure: the stock prices will turn before we get a clear picture that things are better. I think we're still a quarter or two away, but who knows? I want to be in before the move happens, even if its "too early."
