Qualcomm Receives Order for 100,000 Handsets in Australia, maybe Friday 10 June 1998 - Canberra ACT It was mentioned in the Australian Upper House, the Senate, during heated debate about the sale of the final two-thirds of the national carrier, Telstra. Qualcomm via a subsiduary vehicle, Oz Phone Pty. Ltd. recently bid for CDMA 800mhz spectrum in a number of cities and regonal centers and was successfull. The bid details are available on the web site sma.gov.au - Auction Results. Qualcomm spends $6m and then gets an order for $100m+. You work it out.....
