I don't know his name but I understand he is a volcanologist who specializes in volcanic systems. His job will be to look at all the data to date and see if he has any insights to the emplacement of the dykes etc.
As an analogy it would be like your docter sending you to a heart specialist or a brain specialist. All geologists should have have a good knowlege of volcanism but specialist know a whole lot more.
There are geologists who specialize in structure, glaciation, sediments, geophysics, etc. Some companies are reluctant to call in the specialists but I feel there is certainly a time and place for them.
It will be interesting to see what he comes up with. Unless this is all a scam, as some seem to think, I'm willing to bet down the road there will be some interesting papers written about Snap Lake.
