I don't know if this is a serious thread or not, but if it is, may I may a suggestion?

IMO, there is no reason why the short positions can not be tabulated and divulged for any, and ALL stocks. (bb's included).
(I personally believe bi-monthly is enough)

However, a thread on SI will do nothing about this, except to have another thread for us all to make our profound statements on. (this probably being another one)

Why not ask people to call, or write the SEC about making this a requirement, and then reporting here.
(with the statement they called, or wrote)

This will show that we, as investors care, and are willing to request action.

BTW, I have called , and requested that they do so.

IMO, the SEC facilitates abuse for allowing this (ignorance of short positions), and they should be taken to task for it.
