To Datek: Since opening an account in Datek last november, I have always been very happy about the execution speed, and the low commission. However, I must point out, lately DATEK has been VERY slow on executing orders at market open (9:30). I put in a below the bid sell order for EGGS @16, and waited for 5 minutes for it to fill, nothing was done. I have to point out at the same time, I also put in a sell order from Schwab, @16, it was executed in 2 minutes @16 1/8. I expected this the other way around, but sadly, it's not. Schwab has expanded their online capacity to accomodate the increased traffic, can datek do something about their opening slowness? I am reluctant to trade gappers on datek if something is not done about it. Sincerely a datek customer
