hello everybody. i have been away but am eager to rejoin the threads. i was greeted with a mission report at my church. God truly does amazing things! 160 were on a trip to china to bring God's Word to the people and provide resources to the underground church. they each had two suitcases. one with the articles they needed for everyday life - toiletries, clothes, etc. the other filled with literature that would be confiscated in customs if discovered. a member of the underground church in china had requested these materials and asked that everybody pray that they make it through ok. our whole church had prayed on it. then God went to work. as the group disembarked they went to an area to display their passports. they were are extremely nervous. the group leader reported to us that he could see the customs area with its ex-ray machine just further on. just as the first of the group approached the machine, it happened. the two workers turned off the machine and walked away (presumably on a break). all 160 identical suitcases filled with bibles and other literature then walked through unchecked!!!! just as the last passed through, the two workers returned and flipped on the machine. prayer truly is an amazing thing!!!! PTL!! the group leader who told us the story was very emotional. it brought tears to my eyes. there are people all over the world who everyday need prayers to help spread God's Word. it may be that they need materials, or it may be that they need protection for their lives. i ask that you pray for the current members of my church that are presently on mission trips.
