Don't think so. Although Amazon is operating from a high profile/high cost profile (bloated Seattle ex-Microsofty business climate), they have lots of places to cut costs and improve operations. They can build a structure of specialized automated warehouses around the country (or world) to take much of the handling of merchandise out of the picture. And they can streamline the back-end software operations quite a bit to make putting product info on-line much more automated of a process than it already is. One of Amazon's problems is that they have been required (and the biz structure and "culture" demands) to hire a huge staff - over 700 people and growing rapidly. Streamlining operations should make them more efficient. Of course, with the venture partners and founders now stupendously rich from rah-rah investors pouring money into the stock (see insidertrader.com, maybe the company just won't have that much motivation to succeed.

Amazon may try to rally toward the end of the day if it doesn't break down further by mid-day.
