I think you are right, but the way I understand it is that the holders of the preferred stock will be compensated first, followed by the holders of the common, followed by the holders of the warrants.

If there is no recovery made until after the automatic conversion of the P in October @ 35:1, will the preferred shareholders retain "preferred status"?

You could speculate forever as to who will get what and in what order, but it is just like counting your chickens before they hatch. Until there is a recovery made, "who gets what" cannot be considered, cause the "whos" are still coming to the table, and there are still no "whats" to divide.

Way too early to tell how that will shake out.
