Eugene,

I only have one problem with the money flow scenario.

Before the Asian flu, the market liquidity came from boomers, 401Ks, IRAs etc. Then Asia played a big part in money flow in the direction of US also. With Japan liberating their overseas investment restrictions, money should continue to come in this direction.

However, too much money chasing too few products is never a good sign. This money flow can change direction as fast as they came. Can we push the sell button fast enough if this happens.

Eugene, >And this huge demand for large cap stocks continues to befuddle those of us waiting for dirt cheap prices. There appears to be no doubt it will take a general market drop to get us anywhere near a cheap entry level.<

According to todays DW data which I will post as soon as I get it sorted the Market leading indicators have reversed up indicating a market short term rally. The NYSE is also only 2% from a reversal. It is reverses then it looks that it may turn into a long term market rally.

Just my $.02

Pessimism turning to optimism?? XLNX & ALTR both have price tagets nearly 2X where they currently are. All we need now is "bipolar" Joe to come out even moderately bullish on the semis and the buying opp will be gone.

Xilinx Inc. (XLNX) 37 5/8 +3/4: Morgan Stanley Dean Witter reiterates "strong buy" rating on programmable logic chip maker with price target of $70 a share.....

Altera Corp. (ALTR) 34 5/16 +3/8: Morgan Stanley Dean Witter reiterates "strong buy" rating on programmable logic chip maker and $60 a share price target; expects company to meet Q2 earnings estimates.....

Intel Corp. (INTC) 78 +2 7/8: Morgan Stanley Dean Witter reiterates "strong buy" rating on chip maker and $110 price target; expects seasonal uptick in PC build rates in second half of 1998.....
