Honey I'm home, and the "little man" said I actually had over 90% of the NT installation (amazingly) completed myself. Added memory (now 128), a Zip drive and debugged and defragged.

But now everything is running great! No disconnects on the GTE ISP (yet) with NT, compared to many disconnects on Prodigy and Win95.

Eryka (at Cyber has my paperwork), funds have been wired to Cyber, and in their account with Penson in 1 day! Baby, I'm ready to go!!!!

I know, slow that pony down. I intend to go slow. Load the software, learn the keys, etc., then demo trade for a couple of weeks and then hook up with Ken Wolf and trade whopping shares of 2-500. The information from books and especially folks on SI have helped enormously over the last 2-3 months. I feel my learning curve may be reduced tremendously.

One last caveat, was all excited about the U.S. West ASDL deal until they told me today I was too far from a ADSL booster station. You have to be within 5,000 feet! What a load of crap! So, I called TCI, my cable provider, and asked them about the "revolution" they are touting on their web. Guess what? You have to be within 3 miles of their booster station and they are only putting one in downtown Olympia. Revolution my *ss!! At this rate, the new technology will never reach the consumer.

So, I'm back to the GTE deal with Cyber until something better and realistically presents itself.

Thanks to everyone who has provide excellent advice and encouragement.
