Thanks for the reply Jane.. A little confused still.. and reeling after looking at the YAHOO BB.. that place is a nuthouse IMHO. People there seem to be fanatics.. not investors? anyways.. when you say you thought they were in trouble but they arent? I don't understand. You mean the legal thing with wildfire? or the promising services they cant provide (another gripe I have heard concerning serengetti/portico in the past.) I appreciate the tip about investing.. I tried calling GMGC directly to order Portico and only got a wistful "we'll send you something." and havent heard back in 2 weeks.. I am beginning to get curious if they really have all their ducks in a row for this rollout on the 30th?? I have faith.. but the legal thing and their lack of response time to me have me baffled? confused newbie... JC

Jane, I just read your post and I'm totally confused about what it is that you are trying to say? If I understand you correctly, you are trying to get special information by calling the company, but they won't help you. I wonder if you know what to ask? I've had good luck speaking to General Magic, but then I have little expectation of getting the inside scoop. I had a great response yesterday. I e-mailed an officer of the company and got a response within 15 minutes. Interesting thing was the response came in a .wav file. It was great. He was speaking to me and it was obvious that he'd picked up my message from Portico and responded right away. In this case, I was asking him about ASAT 98 which is in San Jose July 27-29. It's a special show for speech recogntion. All the big names will be there. I asked him why GMGC didn't have a booth. He said Dr. White was speaking at a special forum on the use of SR in telephoney. You have to realize these people are trying to create a new market that has not been done before. They have to stay in balance and they have to be careful about investor law suits shoud they make projections that can't be met. It's pretty normal stuff.
