So, DLJ lowers their rating on Vntv and the stock gains 1. I was never one of these analyst bashers but in the last few months I've developed a major bad attitude towards the analysts. Institutions were obviously dumping vntv before now, why wouldn't an analyst downgrade then? It almost looks deliberate.

Also in the stupidity department CS First Boston began coverage on Manu 2 weeks ago with a neutral and a 12-month target of $24 (it had closed at 24 for the 2-week prior period). What a complete idiot, CSB obviously didnt want to take a stand on Manu one way or the other - but then why bother covering the issue? Today, Manu is up 5. Guess in that 2-week period, the execution problems have been solved - duh!

Kind of an interesting lesson to Vntv shareholders to look at a chart of Manu for the last month.
