":George, first of all, the referee was not a Saudi, he was from the United Arab Emirates."

Yes my mistake.

"But the fact remains that Van Hooidonk was BLATANTLY pulled down in the penalty area in the 90th minute."

If that was BLATANT I am the real Cruyff<gg>

"Are we to "let them play" by ignoring fundamental rules of football?"

Grumble grumble grumble. Instead on blaming the ref why don't you blame the Dutch strikers for scoring only one goal on this Brazilian defense? Heck, Holland made the Brazilian defenders appear like Gods today. They eliminated Bergkaamp from the game and let Kluivert roam the field...maybe Zagalo told them that this guy does not have what it takes. Only one goal when having Ze Carlos a youngster playing his first really important game for the national team...

Holland's offense should have scored three goals at a minimum. They scored only one. Brazil scored all PK giving Van der Saar NO chance. The Dutch missed two and the other two at least Tafarrell guessed correctly.

The best team is in the final.

End of story.

That's why I believe the best defense is attack, attack, attack. I still long for the Total Football days. Too bad Holland did not win a World Cup back then....all I know is that this Holland team again did not have what it takes to be World Champion. Final Four, yes.

Go France!!I believe the French should break their scoring drought today with Zidane back for a second game in a row.

Croatia, the dark horse, who would have thought!!!!

Name-calling is childish, especially for a late-comer to this thread. The tape tells all, and you, my friend, must obviously be blind.

Unless I missed something, I do not believe Dexter has called you anything....

And I also believe that Dexter has been here since the start, not often but he has been around...

Ronaldo was not fouled, either - it was a legitimate slide-tackle.

I disagree. Therefore, I would qualify as a blind one too, at least under your opinion.

Again, I understand your frustration.... but I believe you are exaggerating a bit, my opinion only, do not cyber shoot me.

Where is that German Shepherd eye seeing dog ....?

Hey, Klaus ! Have you seen the....
