just found out about the free trial. i e-mailed a couple of posters earlier today with some info but now i'll post it here. i talked with a spokeswoman at txn today and she told me the c6x dmt chipsets will be available in commercial quantities in the "first half of 1999". it looks to me like this bodes well for wstl's cap now dmt later solution as suggested by dr.tech re the bell atlantic rollout. how much do the expected adsl lite rollouts depend on txn chips or other chips that never seem to arrive. if rbocs want to get a jump on cable can they risk waiting on promises that keep getting delayed?
