Unable to short AMZN at Waterhouse & Lombard I just tried to short AMZN at Waterhouse and at Lombard (Discover Brokerage Direct). Both orders were rejected due to unavailability of stock for borrowing. Anybody able to short AMZN today? If so, where? Needless to say, I am NOT happy. Tushar Patel

I take it you are back in both? Full speed ahead or are you just nibbling? FWIW, bailed on the other half of my July 110s. 150% gain in two days I'll take. Long way to go, though. A little of the profits are going back in. Looks like the shorts, like me, are afraid of what YHOO's report might do and the bulls are assuming it will be another blowout. We'll see. Dare I place a bet? Hmm.
