Thanks for the GM news...

RECY says there is little if any effect on its sales to the mini mills because of the GM strike... Other auto makers (Especially Ford) are picking up some of the demand, therefore, needing additional steel themselves... If Japan gives us some good news on its Banking reform and tax cuts, we should see a boost in the Asian economies and a boost for their Steel demand... That would be positive for scrap prices...

With Bill Clinton due to visit Japan soon, I think it's likely that we'll get good news from Japan...
