they thought they needed a buyback if they had a decent earnings report? - joe

this is part of mgmt's control of the company. reduce the amount of shares to increase the profit. tight inventory to control the numbers. also by purchasing the stock, they send a message that mgmt finds the stock at this level undervalued. mgmt takes some of the volatility out of the stock by reducing the float.
