The worst thing about the relationship with IBM in the past was that Cyrix was totally dependent on IBM. Now that NSM is getting less and less dependent on IBM, the relationship could become more of an partnership of equals, and I think NSM should maintain it.

Also, a cross licensing agreement with IBM, similar to STMs might be useful for NSM. NSM may need to acquire more advanced process technologies in the future.

I think the net result of agreement between IBM and STM is a negative for NSM. It would have been more positive if IBM licensed this technology from NSM.
